The Will of Sword - One Piece In chapter 937, a interesting thing was brought up.. About the Black Blade and becoming one after its many fights alongside the user. Zoro was interested in this and wanted to know more from Gyukimaru but Oda saves this topic for future..It can be taken as one of the form of Observation Haki specially for Swordsman.. Like luffy can feel the nature of people, zoro can feel the breath of things. Zoro gets presence of non-living things as if they were living things.So if you want to cut steel, then first feel/listen breath of steel. Then pass that will to cut steel to sword..And then only you can cut steel. With this you can even cut steel but can't cut a mere paper.. Because paper has its own different breath.A sword that can cut nothing can be the sword which can even cut steel. This seems confusing but it just means to know "Breath of things" Everything thing has its own breath and sword can cut THAT thing only when the will to cut thing with THAT particular breath is passed on to sword.I just wanted to refresh you the memories of terms "Breath of Things" and "passing will to cut to the sword" It can be even taken as a type of Observation Haki..
